When making a decision to purchase a boat, Seaside Marine Surveyors can provide a comprehensive inspection of the vessel and its systems and can attempt to uncover potential safety issues or problems that can lead to expensive repairs. There are many areas of the vessel that require inspection.
1. The outer hull laminate
2. The interior bildge laminate
3. Bulkheads and stringers
4. Top decks and hardware
5. Thru-hull fittings
6. Electrical systems
7. Plumbing systems
8. Engine and drive systems
9. Generators
10. HVAC systems
11. Electronics
12. Sea trials
In addition to these items, there is a host of many other systems and appurtenances that are unique to each vessel and will require inspection.
Many banks are now asking that a marine survey be conducted on vessels that are older then two years for a loan to value ratio on the vessel before closing on the vessels mortgage.
Insurance companies may require a marine survey to identify the vessels value and ensure its compliance with various safety guidlines as specified by ABYC, NFPA and Coast Guard regulations before issuing a new policy or a renewal.
We Guarantee our surveys to be accepted by your bank and insurance underwriter. If our survey is rejected due to the quality or limitations of the report, simply have the underwriter (not the agent or broker) forward us a letter on company letter head stating the reason for the rejection, and the survey fee will be promptly refunded.
